This feature story assignment afforded me the chance to sit down with Jared Marcus. At the time, Jared was interning with OpenDorse, a major name in the Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) industry within college sports. As a big fan of college sports, learning more about this topic from someone getting their feet wet in the industry was super interesting to me. This was also a welcome opportunity to revive my interest in feature writing, which was something I very much enjoyed during my high school journalism career!
